This contract spells out responsibilities for us (Seafriends) and you (the visiting group), in order to avoid misunderstandings and to promote a better teamwork between you and us. It is valid for the dates listed below and any date in lieu of cancellation.

In the many years since 1992 when we began our school programmes, we have learned that we cannot take full responsibility over the group at all times. The main problem is that of ordinary discipline, good conduct and co-operation. There is such a large difference between schools.
 

• We take full responsibility over the materials used (snorkel and safety gear), the instruction, the choice of site, the circuit taken and safety measures.
• You are responsible for discipline and good conduct. Should a person need to be removed, we will ask you to do so.
• We are responsible for checking masks and fins before going into the water.
• You are responsible for measuring the participants accurately so that we are able to allocate fitting wetsuits.
• Together we will help the children into and out of their wetsuits.
• You are responsible for the participants to arrive wearing their togs/swimsuits already underneath their warm clothing.
• You are responsible for ensuring that all children have been accounted for, before and after the event.
• Together we are responsible for children and parents not to stray outside the 20 metre area around the floats.
• We supply instructors at the safe rate of one per ten children or more if agreed to in advance.
• You are responsible for providing additional adults to meet your own requirements. Alternatively we could provide more instructors but at a cost and booked well in advance.
• You are responsible for those children who stay behind on or close to the shore.
• Together we have to make the time schedule work within the constraints of delays, the weather and Acts of God.
• In the interest of safety, we have the right to use force where instructions are not obeyed while danger is imminent.
